Qantas Grounds Airbus Planes after Engine Explosion

 

Yesterday evening Qantas, the Australian air carrier, reportedly grounded its entire fleet of Airbus A380s after an engine exploded while a flight was enroute.  Flight QF32 originated in London, which was bound for Sydney, landed in Singapore to refuel. The pilots reportedly shut down the engine after the explosion occurred over the Indonesian island of Batam and returned to land in Singapore.
