Clifford Law Offices Files Lawsuit Against Sybaris Club in Plane Crash at Palwaukee
Press Release, 06/22/2006Clifford Law Offices today (Thursday, June 22) filed a lawsuit on behalf of a Chicago man who was killed when a small plane in which he was a passenger crashed upon approach to Palwaukee Airport.
Scott A. Garland, 40, of Chicago’s Northwest side died when a Cessna 421B aircraft crashed en route to the airport in Wheeling on Jan. 30. All four passengers aboard were killed including the founder of the Sybaris Clubs, a well known getaway for couples. Kenneth Knudson was one of the pilots of the plane at the time of the crash and his estate is named as a defendant in the case.
Robert A. Clifford, Kevin P. Durkin and Richard F. Burke, Jr., partners at Clifford Law Offices, filed the lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against the manufacturers of the engine as well as the companies that overhauled and serviced the engine.
Garland, a financial advisor, left behind a wife, Jennifer, and two children ages five and three at the time of his death.
