Kevin Durkin Speaks on Aviation Law

Durkin, partner at Clifford Law Offices, spoke to the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) Aviation Committee about the venue in which complicated aviation matters should be filed. He, along with Michael McQuillen of Adler Murphy & McQuillen, spoke during the May 5 luncheon meeting to a packed room, offering the plaintiff’s and defendant’s perspective of this issue.
Durkin, who has handled numerous commercial and general aviation matters in his three decades of practicing law, said, "Because of each state having a different choice of law principle and disparity on wrongful death laws in the United States, selection of the best venue for your case is the most important initial decision you need to make"
Durkin was President of the CBA in 2006-07 and has been a member of the CBA Aviation Committee since its inception.
