Plane Crash Lawsuit Filed Against Boeing Company and Southwest Airlines in Death of Six-Year-Old Joshua Woods
Press Release, 04/07/2006Robert A. Clifford of Clifford Law Offices of Chicago and Donald E. Schlyer of Schlyer & Associates of Merrillville, Indiana, today (Friday, April 7) filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court against Southwest Airlines and Boeing in the death of six-year-old Joshua Woods.
The little boy was killed Dec. 8 while on the way to his grandmother’s house when a Boeing 737 skidded off of a Midway Airport runway and smashed into his family’s car while he was singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." The boy’s parents and younger brothers also suffered injuries as a result of the tragic event.
Lisa and Leroy Woods, parents of the little boy, are named Co-Special Administrators of his estate in the civil lawsuit. The Woods are not commenting at this time because they are still grieving the insufferable loss of their son.
