In addition to aviation cases, Colin has worked on a number of other cases involving various personal injury and wrongful death cases, including an explosion at Abbott Labs in North Chicago that seriously injured two workers and the Cook County Administration Building fire, a tragedy that killed many and injured scores of others which ended in a $100 million settlement for the victims and their families. In recognition for his outstanding legal work, Colin was named to Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s 2010 “40 under 40” attorney list recognizing Illinois’s top up and coming lawyers in 2010 and has been recognized as a Rising Star annually since 2009.

Prior to joining Clifford Law Offices, Colin served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office under Richard Devine.  He also was the Senior Law Clerk for the Honorable Justice Patrick J. Colin obtained his law degree from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago, graduating magna cum laude. He was eighth in his class of 169 and was a member of the Law Journal. He tutored others in civil procedure and even today he still tries to mentor others through teaching Appellate Advocacy at Loyola as well as Private International Aviation Law at DePaul University College of Law. Colin also has written numerous articles for several national publications and is a columnist for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, the nation's oldest daily legal publication.
